WHO ATTENDS THE NAA CONFERENCE?
The NAA Conference welcomes all professionals in the field of informal Jewish and Zionist education including full and part-time professionals who work as national, regional and local youth directors and advisors, camp directors and staff, Israel program coordinators and recruiters, Jewish educators, synagogue family educators, campus professionals, and JCC, BJE, and Federation staff working in the area of Jewish youth.  Any Jewish professional committed to improving and learning about informal Jewish and Zionist education should attend.

NAA CONFERENCE FELLOWS
Fellowships are available for full-time students (undergraduate and graduate) who are interested in careers in informal Jewish education.  Opportunities will be available for students to network and meet with influential professionals in every field.  Fellows receive full scholarships to attend the conference, which covers room and board and admission to all conference sessions (the fellowship does not cover domestic travel expenses).  Fellowship applications will be available for download soon.

ABOUT THE 2004 CONFERENCE
The 2004 NAA Conference is being chaired by Brian Green, International Director of BBYO and Karen Gerson, Director of Learning for Life at the Central Agency for Jewish Education in Overland Park, Kansas.  Brian and Karen are working with a committee comprised of NAA members from across the United States, each of whom comes with a different background and expertise within informal Jewish education.

Several years ago, a professional development component was added to the conference.  This year, due to popular demand, professional development will be the main focus of the conference, with workshops led by leading professionals and experts in the field.

        • Only individuals who are registered and who have paid in full may attend Conference events.
        • Please submit all fees with your application. Applications will not be processed without payment in full.to the NAA mailing list).
        • Membership in the NAA is by organization, not individual. Any national, regional or local staff member of an NAA member organization is eligible for the NAA member rate for a complete list of NAA member organizations).  All non-affiliated individuals and organizations are welcome to attend at the non-member rate.
        • You will receive an application in the mail with your brochure (please scroll to the bottom for instructions on how to be added
        • Registration fees include admission to all general and breakout sessions, meals (Sunday dinner ? Wednesday lunch), program materials, and nightly entertainment.
        • All Conference meals, receptions & breaks are catered by Steve Greenseid Catering, certified kosher by the Orthodox Rabbinical Board of Broward & Palm Beach County.
        • The Conference Registration desk will open at 3 PM on Sunday, January 6th.  The Conference officially ends after lunch on Wednesday, January 9th. 
        • Cancellation Policy: Cancellations prior to December 4, 2003, will receive a full refund, minus a $50 non-refundable application fee.  Cancellations after December 4, 2003, will receive the portion of Conference fees not contractually due, less the $50 application fee. These refunds will not be sent until approximately 6 weeks after the Conference.
